Ahhh, Better Weather

I love spring time. I love the flowers (I should take pictures of my flowers) and I love that the kids get to go outside and play.

Plus, we had some house visitors. CRAZY!

Hair Cut

Yeah, so, obviously the girls DID NOT want to take a picture with me. Oh well. So, short and blond. I wanted something fresh for the wedding. Like?
Nonie and I went together. It was fun. She probably had to go home and rest her head...I talked a lot. A LOT! But it was super fun.
Thanks to Norah for watching the girls...and for everything else. You're the best!

Saturday Night

Saturday night we went to my parent's house to roast some hot dogs. This is one of my favorite traditions. The girls had fun...actually we all did. Here are a few of the highlights.
.
Grandpa took the girls on a ride. (Jordyn looks like a dork, but it was the best one I had.)

The cousins!
I love this picture!
Cheese!

Sorry Aunt Nancy. I couldn't resist.
Grandpa and Jordyn
Heber Man! Can you tell he's getting some teeth. Julie said he has SEVEN now! Holy Cow. No wonder he loves eating everything.

Our Family. It was nice to have Jason home for the evening. I think it was practically the only time he saw the girls all week.

Couldn't resist again. Sorry Julie! But your hot dog sure looks good.
And my favorite picture of all. This is my Grandpa. Jordyn calls him Grandpa Great. We love him so super much!

My New Camera

So, I got a new camera (if you couldn't guess from the title). I'm loving it. You see, our camera broke when we were in Disney Land and I've been wanting a new one ever since. The old one still took pictures, but the display didn't work. Anyway, here are some pictures...
.
Oh, it's just a Cannon. It's blue and lovely.
.
Heber. Isn't he cute!
Our indoor playground. We bought this slide and we've had it set up in the front room for a little while now. The girls LOVE it.

The slide again. And Heber, at his favorite spot.

I got the girls new sandals. Jelly Shoes!

The cheeser smile. She just started doing this. Silly girl!
Have I ever mentioned that Heber loves to eat. For real. I don't know where this kid puts it all.
I had one more picture of Jordyn, but she was naked and I changed my mind about posting it. However, the big news with her is that she has said bye bye to diapers.
HELP! I NEED ADVICE!

A Mouse In My House

Jason and I went to bed last night (Tuesday) at around midnight. Jason gets up around seven each morning so he can be out the door at 7:30, to get to school for his 9:00 class at the University of Utah (after that he goes to work....ALL DAY....and come home late). So, this morning (Wednesday) he came in the bedroom and said that we had a mouse during the night. You see, I had made cupcakes for my Spanish class. (They had different colored frosting. My presentation was about Racism. Get it? Just because they're a different color on the outside doesn't mean they're not the same on the inside.) My sister Julie watched the girls for me while I went to school and she told me Jordyn had one for dessert...and LOVED it! Well, that night I left them out on the counter.
Surprisingly, that little mouse moved the rug out of the way...and pushed a chair up to the counter. It was a messy little mouse because there were crumbs on the floor.Plus, this mouse's mother never taught it to clean up its garbage. I wish I had a picture of the mouse asleep in her bed...with pink frosting from ear to ear. Instead I have this one. You can't see the frosting very well because it's practically the same color as her skin. But let me tell you, IT'S THERE! Silly little mouse!

Plus, Jordyn came up with a new recipe all on her own today. I got some lunchables at Walmart the other day. The girls love them and they're so quick and easy. The ones I bought had oreo cookies in them. Well, I was visiting with my sister Jaymie, I look over and she was eating this....

GROSS! The best part, to me, is that she broke her cookie apart. I think Jason taught her that. I guess Oreo, frosting, meat, cheese, and crackers must taste really great together.

Helpful Hints

Check out this blog. AWESOME tips about keeping the clutter to a minimum. Anyway, just though I'd share....

Easter

We had such a fun weekend. Jordyn has been so excited for the Easter Bunny to come. I also tried to teach her about Jesus and the Resurrection...but she pretty much just said that she doesn't want to die, doesn't need a new body, and wants to know why Jesus was put in a cave. Guess I need to work on my teaching skills a little.
.
The Easter Bunny (who might be a girl or a boy....we're not sure yet) brought the girls new jammies, some puzzles, the Princess and the Frog movie, some coloring books, and LOTS of eggs at candy. Lucky girls!

We also had a little egg hunt and Gampa Day and Grandma Sue Sue's house. It was fun! Thanks Julie....you're the best Easter Bunny ever.

Check out all those eggs. I was surprised that she shared. What a good girl!

Ups And Downs

So, if you didn't notice, I didn't tell you how I did last week with weight watchers. That's cuz I gained again....1.4 I was not happy. Well today I was down 3.4 Hurray for a better week. This diet thing is hard for me. I LOVE FOOD! It's hard for me to only have one piece of something....or even none of something. Plus, it's even harder for me to eat carrots, apples, bananas, or anything else that's healthy. And forget about drinking 6 glasses of water each day....I need Diet Coke. I guess the good news is that weight watchers isn't a "diet" but a "life style change" and I'm getting there. One day at a time....

Bird Watching

Heber loves to stand at my window. It's perfect for him. Today he's been talking to this bird. After it flew away he cried. Poor kid.
