Suffocation

Remember how I said that Jordyn likes to hide things in random places? Just the other day I found her putting shoes and money in her potty chair. Well, today has been a interesting morning and little out of the ordinary. This morning after changing the girls and feeding them both breakfast I headed outside to finish planting some flowers that I bought yesterday. Jordyn was busy watching TV (a mother's favorite baby-sitter) and Tessa was content in her bouncer. Don't worry! I left the door open so I would be able to hear any screaming.
.
Well, when I came back inside there was quite a mess for me to clean up. The best was finding Jason's boots in the front room...will a little dog sleeping in them. Jordyn had put in a blankie (wash cloth) and then the dog. She even told me "Shhhh!"

Here's a close up....

Because I'm a clean freak I started clean up Jordyn's mess. I know the best idea would be to let her do it or at least have her help me, but I'm much faster. Don't worry again! She cleans things up all the time.

Anyway, I was cleaning and I took the dog and his blankie out of the boot and this is what I found. Poor little baby! Maybe I've been watching "CSI", "Law and Order SVU", and other disturbing shows a little too much in front of my daughter. At least this little baby had it's own little blankie. Oh my kid!

Shoes

I love shoes! I especially love buying shoes for the girls. I'm addicted! So, I'm just showing off my collection. This is probably only a third of the shoes I have for the girls because the other pairs are all in boxes....they don't fix anyone right now.

Zoo

Today we went to the zoo! It was so much fun. We took Jordyn's friend, Ryann, with us. I think one guy thought we were nuts when he asked how old the girls were and I said two and a half, one and a half, and four months.
It was a good day to go. It wasn't hot at all and not crowded either.
So here are my 19 pictures of fun!

Porcupine.
"Hims the best!" said Ryann.

Favorite Movie

So, I know I did a lot of posts today, but I needed to catch up. Here is a new video of Jordyn. She is just so funny...well, to me anyway.

We watch "Mary Poppins" at least twice a day. I know that one day she'll change favorites and I'll be wishing it was "Pop" again.

Jordyn loves to play with her baby, the stroller, and her dress-up shoes. She cracks me up with how she copies things that I do with Tessa. She loves taking her baby for walks, and going to the store. Usually she has her little purse on her arm. If only we could see a pretty smile instead of that "BiBi".

Down the Drain

My kid! Jordyn has this habit of hiding things in random places. Yesterday morning I was picking things up and I found her potty chair in my bedroom with her dress-up shoes inside.Later, I found some money in there. When I asked her who did it she pointed at herself and proudly said..."ME!"

Good Bye Trees!

Last Saturday we finally got our trees cut down. They are/were Chinese Elms. If you know anything about trees you'll know that in Utah these trees are also know as "Junk Trees". Jason's Uncle Don came to help. He's the expert in all things...we're glad that he could help.

Uncle Don wasn't the only one. We were very lucky to have lots of help. So a big THANK YOU to Dad, Terry, Hayden, Jake, Braxton, Jesse, Josh, Mom, Leslie, two neighbors, and Julie (for helping with the girls.)There were three trees on the east side of the house. Here are two of them. We still have to get the stumps out.
Here's the tree in the back. It was huge! Oh, and it "killed" the playhouse. Oops!
And here is our supply of firewood. I wonder how long it will take to burn all of this?

Just News

Hi.
TAX SEASON IS OVER!
So, last night Jason and I went on a date with his parents. We left the girls with Nonie. I'm sure she just loved being able to spend her break from school baby-sitting.
Today Jason is home working on homework. Lucky guy. He gets done with tax season and then has to spend all his newly found free time on school. Oh, well. It will be over soon.
Tomorrow we are cutting down all the trees in our yard. (Pictures coming soon.)
Today Trigger has to go to the dogie doctor for shots. Lucky him.
I'm glad that the snow is melting quickly. It's the middle of April for crying out loud.
Jordyn has been taking 3 to 4 hour naps in the afternoons. It's really great. And, she still sleeps pretty good at night.
I got my hair cut, added highlights, and got a perscription for contacts.
Tessa, is, well, just super cute.
Did I mention.....TAX SEASON IS OVER!
That's all.

Some Videos...

...for Daddy.

So, this is my first time adding videos on my blog. It takes a Loooooonnnngggg time. Does anyone have any tips? Anyway, as all of my frequent readers know, tax season is coming to a close. I probably won't see Jason for the next couple of days, which means he won't see us either. So I'm posting these videos for him. (Hi Honey!) Enjoy...

Oh, and the other Jordyn "funny" of the night...I was picking up the house (I know, I'm obsessive) and as I walked in her room I saw her playing with her "Grandma Norah doll". She put his bum to her nose, sniffed, and said "Bwaaah!" I'm pretty sure she was pretending he was poopy because she waved her hand in front of her nose too. So funny!

Finding eggs!

Well, the weekend has come and gone. Saturday was the Easter party at "Grandpa Great's" house. (Great Grandpa Halladay) We had a BBQ and then a little egg hunt in the orchard. Grandpa had 13 grand kids and 21 great-grand kids there. That's almost everyone.

"Cheese!"

Uncle Jesse and Jordyn getting eggs from a tree.
Sunday morning before church we had our own little egg hunt at our house. Plus, the Easter bunny came! How exciting. Jordyn was so fun to watch, running around finding eggs. She loved the paper grass in her bucket. So did Daddy...

Jordyn and Tessa took their first bath together. Daddy did it. I don't think I'm brave enough yet to do that. I can hardly get Jordyn in and out without getting all wet.
This morning we picked up Uncle Steve's girlfriend, Megan, from the airport and then we went over to Jason's work to have lunch with him. The next three days are going to be super long for Jason. It's the last three days of tax season. (We love you honey! And we'll see you on Thursday.)
.
When we came home I changed Jordyn into play clothes and let her play in the front yard for a while. She had fun playing, but takes after her mom and wouldn't play in the dirt. She didn't like to touch the sidewalk chalk that the Easter Bunny brought her, but she loved the sand toys.

Last of all is Tessa. She really does exist even if I don't show many pictures of her. She is such a good baby. She is sleeping from around 10 until 7 almost every night. She is starting to recognize people. She is learning to stand on our laps. She loves blankies. She watches Jordyn play and she laughs whenever Jordyn cries...it's pretty fun.

Oh, I forgot to say that on Sunday night we had another egg hunt at Grandma Norah's house. Jordyn had fun with Hayden and Jake finding eggs! We also all got our own colored glassed. I have a few pictures, but none of them turned out...

Coloring Eggs

Easter is on of my favorite holidays. I love the significance of Easter. I also love all the fun family things there are to do. Sunday we colored eggs at my Mom's house. It was so fun to watch Jordyn...and messy. She loved it!

Oh my silly daughter...."CHEESE!"

Jordyn, Tessa, and Aunt Kara
"See my eggs sister? DON'T TOUCH!"

"OOOOOOHHH!"

Jason and Jordyn taking out an egg.

I'm so excited to have an egg hunt with Jordyn. I'm excited to have the Easter Bunny come to our house. And I'm excited to see how excited she will be.
Aren't holidays great!

The Prank

Today is April Fools day. I've been thinking of a prank I could do to Jason. I know, I'm a mean wife. Sooooo, my sister Julie is pregnant. YEP! I asked her to give me a positive pregnancy test. This morning Jason was sitting in bed feeding Tessa and I went to "use the bathroom". I came back a few minutes later with the test in hand. All he could do was stare at it, and then at me. He only said, "Really?" with the saddest face I've ever seen. I had a whole plan on what I would say and how long I would make him suffer, but his face was just...so distraught.

"APRIL FOOLS!"

He then told me that he didn't know what to say, because he wasn't happy but he didn't want to hurt my feelings. (What a nice honey.) Now, I just have to wait and see what he comes up with to get me back.

I hope everybody has a fun, exciting day.

P.S. This is the first prank I've ever tried, and Jason said it's the first time he was really pranked. Go me.

P.P.S. Don't worry. We aren't so terrible that if we really did get pregnant we would be sad. It's just not in our plans right now.
