The Time is Here

Well, we had a great Christmas. We spent lots of time with our families and we were so excited to see the Santa made it to our house. Jordyn was lots of fun opening her gifts and playing with her new toys. Tomorrow morning is the big day for the new baby. We are excited to welcome Tessa to our family. The hospital called us today and let us know that we need to be there at 5:15 in the morning. YIKES! We'll post pictures as soon as we can. Hopefully you all had a Merry Christmas and that your New Year's will be fun!

Christmas Is Coming

Well, it's only a few days away now. I'm so excited! I love Christmas time. Jason and I are really spending way to much money, but having so much fun doing it. Jordyn loves the Christmas lights, trees, and any nativity where she can touch the baby Jesus.

This is Jordyn's Christmas dress. I was so excited to get it on her and do her hair. This picture was taken before Church. One hour later we were bringing her home to change her. Jordyn had jumped and ripped the batting underneath. I was SO sad! We took the dress back to the store and ended up with a new dress that is pink and white. I decided that I took pictures of the "Christmas Dress" so she didn't really need another one.

These last two pictures are from our ward "Breakfast With Santa". Jordyn DOES NOT like Santa very much. We couldn't even get a pictures with him. She did however love her french toast and running around the church.

So, as for our Christmas plans, tomorrow we have our first family Christmas party. We are going to Lake Shore for the Johnson Party. Tuesday night is the Hunter Party. Christmas Eve will probably be the Halladay Party and then Christmas Day is the Tenney Party. I really hope that Jordyn is a happy girl. She hasn't felt very well these last few days...I'm pretty sure she's getting some new teeth. Poor Kid!
Jason and I wish all of you a Merry Christmas. We'll being posting pictures of the new baby when she gets her.

Mommy's Little Girl

Hey Everybody! Things have been a little busy around the Hunter house the last few weeks. We don't have the Internet anymore so getting the blog up-to-date is really hard to do. Jordyn is growing so big and is so much fun. I can't wait for Christmas this year just to see how she likes it. I have a few new stories to tell you about. The other day after taking a shower I was in my room getting dressed. I thought that Jordyn was watching a movie and when I went to check on her I was DEAD wrong. She had gone into the bathroom and found my make-up bag on the counter. She unzipped it and dumped out everything. She was able to open the two NEW bottles of mascara and BOY DID SHE HAVE FUN! I tried hard to teach her that was a "No No" but she was just covered and it was pretty funny.

A few weeks ago I took Jordyn to get her hair trimmed. I was tired of her bangs always hanging in her eyes. Well, Jason decided that she now looks like a boy so he decided he wanted her ears pieced. She was such a good girl. She sat super still and didn't even cry. Plus, she loved the sucker she got when she was all done.

Sometimes I just can't believe how big she is getting or how fast she is growing. She amazes me everyday. She loves to say prayers at night and before each meal. She loves to play with her baby dolls. She is learning colors and numbers, even though she can't say them yet. I'm so lucky she's mine!

We're also getting excited for our new little baby. So far the plan is a repeat C-Section on December 29th. I'm excited to see how Jordyn does with a new little sister.

Trick or Treet!

Halloween was so much fun this year. Jason dressed up like a cowboy and Jordyn was his horse. I was going to be a pig, but just didn't have the courage...so I went with the bunny ears instead.

In the morning we stopped at Lehi Junior High to visit Grandma Sue Sue and the lunch ladies. They all thought Jordyn was so cute! The girl's P.E. class was doing a dance thing in the lunchroom and Jordyn loved watching them. She was even dancing a long. Silly girl!

For lunch we went to Jason's work party. They had Chile and soup, tons of bread, and lots of yummy desserts. Jordyn went to each person's desk to trick or treat. She would walk in and then hold out her hand for some candy. After that she would wave and then head to the next office.

In the afternoon we stopped at the hospital to visit Great Grandpa Halladay. He loved Jordyn's costume and she was waving and blowing him kisses.

For our night time fun we went to a neighborhood party. It was raining a little...so I was a major party-pooper. I just don't like being wet and cold, but Jordyn had a great time. She was just walking around eating food and watching all the other kids in their costumes.

The last stop for the night was at my Mom and Dad's house. We ate pizza with them and Julie and Jesse. it was a great day. Jordyn was so tired that night that she slept until 9:30 on Saturday morning.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

A Little Yard Work

Fall is finally here and we've had lots of help getting our yard ready for next spring. Jason's parents and younger brothers came over to help us with a few projects. We pulled out all a bunch of weeds, took down a fence, and put in fertilizer to help the ground. It was lots of work, but looks super great now!

Norah trimming up the bush.

Terry spreading...well, poo.

Jordyn and her safety goggles. Funny kid!

Jordyn and Sara getting the morning glory off the fence.

Finished project...looking good!

Trimmed bush.

Our cute house!

We really appreciate all the help that Jason's parents gave us with this little project. They even told us which bulbs to buy so that next spring our yard will have lots of pretty flowers. We have such an awesome family. We're pretty spoiled!

Our New House

We are so excited to announce that we are in our new house and all settled in. It all started about three weeks ago when my sister, Julie, helped me start packing. Thursday night Jason's family and Jesse, my brother-in-law, came up to Midvale to help us load up the trailer. We unloaded everything Friday morning and by Saturday night every box was empty and all our stuff was put away.

We had so much help. Both of our families were really great to help us unpack things and watch Jordyn for us while we were working. We hope that they all know how much we appreciate all that they do for us.

Jason spoiled me with new couches! I was so excited and they look so great in our family room. Our new fridge will be delivered on Tuesday this week and that's all we need. The house is so great. It has three bedrooms and one bathroom. I love having lots of windows...and so does Jordyn. The window in the family room is low enough that she can look out and wave at everyone she sees.

We have lots of work to do in the yard, but I'm excited to work on that next spring....right now I'm just glad to be unpacked and "home". We love the neighborhood and ward and really feel like we are where Heavenly Father wants us to be right now.

Mr. Potato Head

Tonight we played with Mr. Potato Head. Jordyn is, of course, the smartest kid in the world. She knows all about where her eyes are, nose, mouth, teeth, ears, and hair. She is so much fun, and learning new things everyday. We love asking her to bring us the pieces and then helping her put them in. She especially loves the glasses.

In other Jordyn updates....last week we had Chinese food with Grandma and Grandpa Halladay, Great Grandpa Halladay, Aunt Julie, Uncle Jesse, and Aunt Jaymie. Jordyn LOVES the noodles. She was eating a ton. She even tried taking my plate of food. What a fun night!

Sunday Fun

We stayed home all day! It was wonderful! Here are a few pictures. The teeth are actually a Binky that Grandma Norah gave to Jordyn. We had to coat it with sugar to get her to leave it in her mouth. Silly kid. We took a little walk too, just to see the ducks in the pond.

I am not a baker!

Jason is always trying to get me to cook more often. I think this is proof that baking is not a talent of mine. I made these cookies today. I'm not sure if I missed an ingredient or what, but they do not taste good. They came out flat and very brown, even though I only cooked them for 9 minutes when the recipe calls for 12-15 minutes. If anyone has a fail proof recipe for chocolate chip cookies I'd love to give it a try. My goal is to make edible cookies, no matter how long it takes!

The funny part about making the cookies was Jordyn's reaction to the mixer. Every time I turned it on she would come running up to me, put her arms around my leg, and then cry until I turned it off. Funny girl! Maybe she doesn't like to cook either? Poor Jason, he'll never get a home cooked meal for the rest of his life.

Finally Happened

Well, I wasn't sure this day would ever come...but here it is. I never wanted to start a blog, but now that Jordyn is getting bigger and we are expecting baby number two I want to keep everyone up-to-date. I'm not sure how this thing works, but I'm sure that I'll learn in no time at all.

Let me tell you a little bit about our life right now. Jason is busy busy busy. He is working full time at a CPA firm in Murray. He really seems to like his job, at least most days. He is also going to the University of Utah getting a Masters in Accounting. Don't worry...we are loyal BYU fans and we don't see that changing any time soon. He is a great dad and a wonderful husband! I'm busy being a mom. I love that I get to stay home everyday, even though it is hard sometimes. I love seeing Jordyn learn new things each day. I'm also pregnant. Our second daughter is due at the end of December. Jordyn is 13 months old and constantly on the go. She is walking all over the place and loves going outside to play. She loves books and blankies. She is a little chatter-box, even though she only says a few words.

As a family, we are buying our first house! We will be moving to Pleasant Grove in the middle of October. It's a pretty scary thing to buy a house, but we are so excited. Tomorrow we will have our final walk-through and then on the 9th, if everything goes okay, we will sign the papers and have a house of our own.

I guess that's all for now. I'll try hard to keep this up-to-date. ENJOY!
