Today we went to the Zoo. It was awesome! It was a little chilly, but the sun was shinning and we all had a ton of fun. We have a pass that's going to expire at the end of June so we're trying to sneak in a few trips before then. This was the first time that Tessa actually new what the heck we were doing. She was so cute running around looking at everything.

Quoting Jordyn
So, I'm using the bathroom and Jordyn comes running in.... "Oh, Mama! I heard you go potty. Good Job! Do you need me to wipe you?"
Jordyn: "Are you going to eat breakfast?"
Me: "No, I don't feel very good right now."
Jordyn: "Breakfast makes you feel better, I know."
Daddy is in the shower and yells to Jordyn, who is in timeout, to bring him a towel. She does it, come back in the room and says, "Mama, I go back in time out now. I still busted."
"Why?"
"I don't love you, I love my Daddy."
Me: Jordyn, say sometime funny.
Jordyn: Ok. Knock Knock.
Me: Who's there?
Jordyn: Ya Ya Ya.
Me: Ya Ya Ya Who?
Jordyn: Shower.
Me: Shower?
Jordyn: Yeah...
Then I pretend to laugh....
Jordyn: "Are you going to eat breakfast?"

Being The Mom
In all honesty, most days it's really hard. Sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy. Sometimes I loose my temper, I yell, I think about shipping my kids in a box to China to live with Aunt Julia. Sometime I feel like I'm not helping out financially, that I should get a job. I feel like I could be doing something different with my time, that might be...well, better.
But then again, sometimes I don't think any of those things at all. Really, most of the time, I love my job. I'm very lucky. I have two beautiful daughters. I have a husband who I love and adore...who loves me. I have a nice home, and all the things I need. I'm lucky, incredible blessed, and happy.
Last year I wrote about ALL OF MY MOTHERS and I could do that again, but don't think I could write anything better... So, this year, I'll write about the three reasons why I love being a mom.Reason #1 - Jason
Now, I know that I'm not his Mother...but he is part of the reason why I am one. Where would I be with out this guy in my life? I can't even imagine what my life would be like without him. He takes care of me...keeps me in check. Jason is strong and kind. He is smart and loves trying new things. I love that he's not afraid to try something new, succeed or fail he's always willing to try. He loves to work, loves to play, and loves the out doors. He loves the Lord. He loves the gospel. He loves his girls. I'm so grateful for his example, strength and support. He reminds me of the important things, reassures me when I'm hurting, and loves me unconditionally. (He made me breakfast Sunday morning...) Reason #2 - Jordyn Parley
Oh, my girl. What a character I have on my hands. Jordyn will be three in August, but is going on ten. She knows all of her colors, numbers, and ABCs. She loves playing dress-up. She loves being outside. I'm am always amazed when I listen to her talk to herself, her toys, or her sister. She is always asking "why" and saying "oh, sorry mama". When you tell her you love her she always says, "I don't love you, I love my Daddy." She's a little mama. The other day Tessa got in trouble and she said to her, "That's what happens." She's brave, and like her Daddy, always willing to try something new. She loves her family, she can even tell the twins apart. She's so fun, and I'm so lucky she's mine.

Reason #3 - Tessa Marie
Oh my little baby, who really isn't a baby anymore. Tessa is almost 17 months old. She is my little ball of energy. She doesn't say much, but she is so smart. Tessa can put the shapes in the shape ball, she can stack cups, and put a straw into a Capri Sun. She says, "Dada" "Mama" "more" "go" "ah-oh" and "Kack" (Quack). She is my little cuddle bug. She loves to be held and hugged and loved. She gives kisses and blows kisses. She loves to slide and push the stroller. Tessa sticks up for herself. She is strong and beautiful. She takes care of Heber, better than me sometimes. She is a big tease and loves to smile and laugh. She keeps me on my toes, and I wouldn't trade her for anything.

The Last Few Days....
We went to the Aquarium. I should have taken pictures of the penguins. They are pretty dang awesome. I would totally recommend seeing them.
Here's Jason...praying to the fish...and Tessa. She had so much fun.Jordyn has her shoulders all scrunched up. She kept saying she was scared of these mean fish.I've been working on my flowers again this year. It's therapeutic. I love just being able to sit on the lawn and pull weeds. I love how beautiful they are. I love watching different things grow. I love seeing new sprouts pop out of the ground.
Speaking of planting, Jordyn got new garden gloves. BUT she doesn't want them to get dirty. Silly girl! She helped Daddy with a project...
