I got a lot of great ideas for food. I'll let you know how that goes one of these days. THANKS! Tonight I just felt like writing a little. I'm super tired, but have lots of home work to do. Can you say procrastinator? The girls are in bed. Jordyn cried only a little tonight and didn't even ask for her binkie. We celebrated Norah's birthday tonight. It was fun. We had fish and baked potatoes for dinner. It was good. I love spending time with family. So, here's a little update on my family.
Jason is in his last semester of school. I think he is way burned out. When you add in tax season you get a stressed to the max person. The commute is really hard on him. I think we wonder sometimes why we just HAD to buy a house here...I mean really, he drives about 3 hours a day. Sometimes more. Besides school and work he's gone ice fishing a couple of times. I know he'd like to do more, but such is life. Oh, and he has a new found love for reffing basketball games for the stake.
I'm busy with school. I started teaching coupon classes. (Shameless plug: If you want to host a class let me know.) I'm still watching Heber three days a week. I'm super tired...and really loving mostly all of it. School is good for me. I feel "smart" again.
Jordyn is growing so big. You should hear some of the things that come out of her mouth. Friday night we were eating pizza with Megan and Steven. Megan took another piece and Jordyn asked her what she was doing. After Megan told her that she was eating another piece because she was a pig Jordyn proudly announced, "My Mom is a pig! My Dad is a pig too!" Seriously! She is learning so much everyday. She is always asking what something is and what it does. She always wants to help...even if that means spilling her drink on the floor just so she can wipe it up.
Tessa took her first steps this past week. She has really progressed these last few months. She's starting to talk so much now, well babble. Tonight she shook her finger at me and said, "Dat dat dat." She loves her big sister. She's starting to play with the "Little People" and she loves Barney. I've noticed a big change in her clingyness...meaning she is a lot more clingy. She loves eggs. I've never seen a kid eat as many eggs as her. She cuddles. I love it.
I hope you and your families are all doing well. Leave me a note telling me you stopped by. Anonymous comments are welcome. Just type your name too, so I know who you are.

Help Me Feed My Children
Do you know that I hate to cook? I love to eat, but I just don't like cooking. I'm always nervous about how it will turn out, feel like it takes to long, and really could do without the mess at the end. The good news is...I've been trying....kind of. We're really trying to not eat out so much. (It's killing our budget.) Anyway, my new problem is the girls. I just don't know what to feed them. I mean, really, they can only eat Macaroni and Cheese so many nights per week. So, tell me...What do you feed your kids?
Jordyn is two and a half. She doesn't like to touch slimy things, like fruit...but sometimes she'll use a fork. She likes anything sweet. She loves green beans, and cheese, (but not quesadillias) corn dogs, tuna fish sandwiches, and the over eaten Mac and Cheese.
Tessa is one. She is now in the "I don't want baby food stage" but still too little for some big kid stuff. She also likes green beans, mac and cheese, and corn dogs. Pretty much that's all we eat around here.
Any suggestions?

Tessa's Party
Can anyone say SPOILED! We had such a fun time Sunday night. It was fun to watch Tessa, even though she was SO tired. I think it was hard for Jordyn, but she was a good sport.
Here's Tessa "own little cake" that Kara made. Isn't this cake GREAT! My sister, Kara, works as the manager in the Walmart bakery by Lone Peak High School. She does a great job!
We are so grateful to everyone who came. Tessa got lots of fun gifts. We have such a great family. Plus, there were lots of us here to celebrate Tessa's big NUMBER ONE! (Grandpa and Grandma Halladay. Julie, Jesse, and Heber. Kara. Jaymie and Adam. Leslie and Josh. Gammy and Papa T. Nonie, Janae, Camie, Hayden, and Jake.) What an awesome crowd!
THANKS EVERYBODY!

Random Updates
The other night Jordyn was SO upset because she wanted her binkie. She kept coming out of her bed and she was crying and crying. Finally Jason and I told her that we didn't want to see her again and that she better stay in her bed. (Good parents, right?) Well, after about 30 minutes of her crying, really....30 minutes, she started to snore. Well, it sounded really close so I got up to check on her and this is where she was. Hallway. Not very comfortable.
As for Jason and I, we both started school. This will be Jason's last semester, but my first OF MANY. Tax season is just beginning, wish me luck. I'll try to keep my complaining to a minimum.
Here's our dog Trigger. He's huge.

Haircuts
Tessa had her very first haircut today. I didn't want to, but it was getting a little shaggy and kind of fuzzy. She did really great. We went to Cookie Cutters in Lehi. I really liked them. They were super nice and the girls had fun.

"Goals"
Well. It's that time of year again. Resolutions. Only, I know that if I call it that I probably won't stick to it. I've been deciding how I wanted to go about this. I thought about starting a new blog just for my goals. I thought about not posting them at all. I haven't really decided what to do yet, but I do know if I don't write about them, I won't stick to them.
Goal #1
Grocery Budget. Last year our Quickbooks said that we spent over $6,000.00 on groceries. WAY TO MUCH FOR ME! So, my goal is to take this coupon thing I've been doing a little more seriously. I plan on only using $50.00, that's right....Fifty Dollars....a week on groceries. I've heard it's possible to include diapers in this, but I'm not that good yet. So, no diapers, but everything else. I'll get cash out of the bank each week and everything extra will go in a special saving account to be used at the end of the year for something TBD.
Goal #2
My Non-Diet. I hate that word....Diet. I've never been good at being healthy. I don't really like to exercise and I LOVE food. So, this one is tricky. I don't want to set any set rules because I'm to afraid that I'll fail...or maybe I'm just to lazy. So, here's the plan, and maybe I'll update it in a few weeks. Portion control, six to eight glasses of water each day, and three or more days of exercise. Wish me luck.
Goal #3
The Spiritual Me. For those of you who don't know, I served an LDS mission to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Before my mission and when I was first home I did so well at studying the scriptures and praying. Now, well....honestly....I suck at it. I really do believe that having a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father is important. Especially as a wife and mother. So, everyday, no matter how many verses, I will find time to read. I will also pray, at least one, by myself, everyday.
So, there you have it. I know it's important for all of us to change and grow. I know that when we do our best our lives will be better. I'm starting school on Thursday, I'm trying to change a few things so that I can become a better person. I challenge you all to set some "goals". It's hard....trust me, I know.
Happy 2010 and good luck!

Christmas Vacation
We've been busy, but having fun. Sunday, after Christmas, we went with Jason's family to a cabin for a couple of nights. It was fun to get away for awhile...even though it was SO COLD! The girls had so much fun playing and exploring.
Camie painted Jordyn's fingers and toes.
Camie painted Jordyn's fingers and toes.
The girls got to play and watch movies.
Jordyn went sledding.
Then, on New Year's Day, we went Ice Skating. I'm not sure what Jordyn really thought about the whole thing, but she said she had fun.
See the circle? Here's Jason trying to help Jordyn. See the arrow? Well, we tried to get Jordyn to use one of these things, but she couldn't keep her legs straight.
Well, it got kind of hard...so Jason spent a lot of time doing this.Don't worry. Tessa came too. She had fun with me and Papa T on the side-line.
It was really fun. We stayed up late playing games. We ate yummy food. I'm glad we were able to go. EXCEPT we lost Jordyn's binkie while we were there. This has been a real tragedy. We decided not to buy her a new one, hoping this would be the perfect opportunity to get rid of it. All I can say is that the last 7 nights have been really long, and super hard. I just feel so bad for her. I can only imagine how hard it has been for her.

Here's the gang...
Paul, Alicia, Jake, Jason, Hayden, Jordyn, Nonie, Camie and Janae.
