Tessa's Stats

Well, we made it to the doctor...with NO help from Jordyn I might add. It took me ten minutes to get in the car. Jordyn was screaming bloody murder at me. She kept telling me that she was staying home by herself and to "Weave me awone!" Holy Crap! I wanted to beat her....is that something I can write on here without someone calling the cops on me?

ANYWAY.....Tessa has not been feeling all that great lately. She's had a fever for two weeks and she doesn't sleep and she doesn't eat like she used to. Today they tested her for a blatter infection, which she didn't have. Her ears are not infected and she is not congested. The doctor told me to give it five more days, or so, and if she's not better they will do some more aggressive tests. (He mentioned something about Mono.) Does anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong? Come on all you doctors out there...I need some suggestions.

Height: 29.75 inches (98.02%)
Head Circumference: 17.75 inches (80.3%)
Weight: 21.41 pounds (87.88%)

AND because she doesn't crawl or roll the doctor wants her to get started with a program called "Kids on the move." I don't know anything about it yet, except that they come to my house...is the doctor just being silly? Is it not okay that she doesn't do anything yet? I'm not sure how I feel about this thing...we'll have to see how it goes.

Well, I guess that's it. We're having Jason's family over tonight to watch the BYU game and eat Tacos. YUM!

Oh man! I wish there was just something that they could give you medicine for her. Good luck. I hope she just gets better.

I'm sorry Tessa has been sick. Poor girl. Hopefully it's just a virus and she'll get feeling better. Jayden did the equivalent of kids on the move down here and it really helped. He had torticollis just like Tessa and I think that affects their physical development. That's what they told me at least. Jayden didn't sit up until around 7 months, then didn't roll or crawl, but started walking at a year and then crawled. Once Jayden was done with the kids on the move he was all caught up though. I'm really glad we did it. I figure, it's free and can't hurt anything so you might as well try it. Basically a therapist comes and plays with your baby and does exercises with them. It's a lot like physical therapy, but they come to your house.

I've never heard of that. I just thought that kids just did things when they wanted to. Huntley didn't crawl until she was 11 months and then only did for a week or so before she walked, but I guess if it's free why not do it! Good luck.

I wish I could offer medical advice, but I lack the necessary credentials. So for now I will include Tessa in my prayers and hope that she gets better soon. Maybe her not crawling yet is a blessing in disguise for you. Maybe she's doing you a favor so you don't have to run after two kids yet. One day she'll probably start crawling out of nowhere. :-)
